Cancer-targeting drugs, infusion therapy, radiation, and chemotherapy can, and will, affect a person. Yet, there are more side effects of the medicine. Besides being lethargic, patients can become emotional, cry for no real reason, and really struggle to have joy. It is like the joy or happiness meter is on hold. This does not make you a carnal person. The medicines you are taking are powerful and will affect more than your body. Your emotional roller coaster rides will one day end after your treatment. Don’t get down on yourself and figure that you must be “backsliding.”
