The Lord graciously opened my eyes to the truths of the Scriptures when I was thirteen years old. I came to understand my own sinfulness and desperate need of God’s forgiveness through Jesus Christ. I continue to grow in my understanding of all the Lord has accomplished on my behalf. My greatest joy is to proclaim these wonderful truths.
In 1979 I began working in Youth Ministry. For about 25 years I had the privilege to work primarily with young people. There were times when I was bi-vocational and other times I was able to work full time. Regardless of my work status, I have always been thoroughly blessed to serve my Lord.
It was in the early years of ministry that the Lord burdened my heart with the need to provide ministry training for men within the context of the local church. I prayed for a number of years about this need and the Lord allowed me to be involved with several men who were committed to the same purposes. It has been our delight to work together with a common goal of training faithful men to teach faithful men (2 Tim. 2:2).
My wife is Pamela, and I have two grown children and ten grandchildren: Curtis & Annie Wyatt and children, Peter, Alice, Emma, Austin and Lindsey, and Jacob & Candace Wyatt and children, Caleb, Joshua, Lydia, Titus and Jubilee.
I served at churches in California, Colorado and Texas until 2020, when I transitioned to work full-time with XL Ministries. It has been a joy to serve in the ministry of the local church and to proclaim God’s living Word, and it is also a joy now to work with churches and interns across the country.
