Paul Washer preaches the supreme importance of the Local Church in God’s plan for His people on earth. To willfully neglect the local assembly is to willfully neglect God’s command and one of His chief means of sanctifying, enriching, and preserving His children. In an era of exalting celebrity preachers, God’s people are called to submit to their local shepherd and support them as they care for their souls with the Word of God. This is not a call to blindly submit to human leaders who enjoy wielding authority, but to find biblical shepherds that humbly lay down their lives for the sheep.
