Protected By God's Power - P11 - True and False Spiritual Warfare

The book of Job shows us that we cannot determine blessing or cursing by looking at our circumstances. Much like modern deliverance ministers, Job’s comforters believed Job was cursed based on his circumstances. Our trials do not show us that we need to rebuke Satan or break curses. 1Peter 1:3-9 tells us that the purpose of our trials is to prove the genuineness of our faith. True saving faith will not fail when we are tried and tested. We can rest in the knowledge that God is working His purpose in our lives through our trials both for our eternal good and His glory. We must persevere through our trials, not retreat to shamanistic spiritual warfare practices.
