In this episode we continue our discussion of Hellenistic magic in Ephesus. The early Christians were being tempted to return to magical Hellenistic practices to get relief from fear or to gain control over the demonic realm.
Christians today are tempted to turn to pagan practices to be free from fear, curses, and many other things. The church becomes pagan by adding deliverance teachings, renunciations and incantations, Enneagram, and many other mystical practices to the gospel. We must stand in the gospel and refuse to retreat to pagan mystical practices. We belong to Christ and do not need to fear demons or bad fate.
