The Five Solas of the Reformation - White Horse Inn
The 16th century Protestant Reformation was built upon a series of foundational beliefs—what we refer to now as the five solas. The Reformers saw these solas as the heart of the biblical gospel and the basis through which the “one holy, catholic, and apostolic church” could return to the message by which and for which it was created. Does the church today need this same call back to its gospel roots? In this new White Horse Inn series, hosts Michael Horton, Justin Holcomb, Bob Hiller, and Walter Strickland explore this question as they unpack the meaning of the five solas—sola Scriptura, solus Christus, sola gratia, sola fide, and soli deo gloria.
