Some of us are familiar with the practice of anointing our homes and personal items with oil, believing that God will protect and even bless what is touched by the oil. There are even teachings instructing people how to make their own anointing oil and how to pray in their homes as they anoint the doorposts, the walls, furniture, and even family members while rebuking the devil and declaring blessing. Does Scripture instruct us in this matter?
