Colossians - Critical Issues Commentary

This sermon, preached at Gospel of Grace Fellowship, is about Paul’s prayer for the Colossians to be enlightened and empowered. We show how important Christian theology is and how foolish it is to divorce prayer from theology. We need to reject the idea that we can discover some secret will of God by mystical means. God’s will is revealed through the gospel. God’s longsuffering nature is a communicable attribute that we are to partake of. God has fitted us for His inheritance in light. We end with a discussion of the theme of darkness and light as revealed through the gospel.
